Ghoul Costumes for Kids
If you are dressing up your child as a ghoul this Halloween, then you have endless options to choose from. You can dress up in many ways and I will elaborate on a few general ones here. Ghoul costumes for kids come in many varieties.
Now, you can choose if you want to do your child’s own makeup or just simply go out and buy a mask. Doing your own make up is time consuming but it shows that you have put in hard work to make your costume look good.
You can also paint your child’s face such that it may look cut, bruised and seem as if bleeding. It must seem as gross as possible. You can paint their face brown and then cover it with a few red marks with red colored paints and put a bandage or so on too. You can paint a few stitches on as well. The facial details require a lot of time but you can be imaginative and do whatever you feel like to make your child’s face look creepy.
That is totally up to you as you make your Ghoul costumes for kids as unique as possible.
Now the dress. For your child’s Ghoul costumes, you again have to freedom to choose whatever you feel like. They may choose to wear a suit, you can go for a nightgown or even choose to buy an outfit. Their shirt could look as if spattered with fake blood or they could wear a white tattered gown too. If they were wearing a suit, then make sure they wear appropriate shoes to go with them. If wearing a gown, they could wear anything for the footwear, be it shoes, slippers, anything.
They can paint their fingernails black. It would be good if you bought a few of those fake pointed nails from a costume store. You can easily stick them onto your nails. If you wish, you can also buy gloves for their hands and cover them with fake blood. The gloves must preferably be pointy.
You can also go for an overall skeleton look. Buy one of those patches which you can wear over your hair, the ones that make you seem bald. Then paint their face white and paint the
teeth, nose and eyes accordingly to give them a skeletal appearance.
Most people also prefer to wear hats to go with their costumes. Buy an Abraham Lincoln type hat or some other period type hat. One that is longer than the usual ones. If they are going to wear a mask altogether, then you have two options here too. One is a rubber mask and the other is the plastic one.
Rubber masks can give you a very real look but they tend to get very uncomfortable and sweaty and you will feel like pulling them off after an hour or so and it gets really hot inside. Plastic masks, are not too great for your look, but are definitely more comfortable than the rubber masks and much more cheaper.
Plus, your kids can easily take it off and put it back on whenever they feel like it. So if they are sure they are going to wear a mask for a short period of time, then buy the rubber mask, else I suggest you go for the plastic one.
So you can mix and match whatever you wish and everything will seem appropriate if your kid is dressing up as a ghoul. You have a variety of options to choose from when putting together a few different Ghoul costumes for kids. Best of all you have the freedom to be as imaginative as possible. Happy Halloween!
